30 Minute Hit – Hit Tips – Cross


The cross is a great punch. You can generate a lot of satisfying power
from it. It is a straight punch, thrown with your rear
hand. To get started, make sure your nice and balanced,
elbows along side the ribs, and hands up by the face. You will relax, exhale and then throw from
your chin. Remember, that a good punch starts from the
ground up. So, allow your right foot to pivot, then turn
your knee, hip, and shoulder before you hand goes. Allow your right hip to rotate past your left
hip, and stay low, keeping the legs bent. To get the most you can out of your cross
to generate the most power, think about shifting your weight from the right side of your body
to the left, as you throw your punch. Use our tips and have fun practicing your punches.
