CrossFit South Brooklyn’s Group Class Expectations: Part 5 – Journal Preview

Hey, this is David Osorio, owner of
CrossFit South Brooklyn. We’re going to be talking about our CFSB group class coaching expectations. This is a document that we made at our gym over the last ten years. If you want to learn more, check out where we posted the whole thing in one format.
Steal it. Make it your own. Make it better. So today we’re going to talk about large class logistics. What is a large class? That really depends on your space, your coaching staff, et cetera. If you’ve got a 10,000 square foot space and three coaches on staff, a large class for you might be 40 or 50 people. If you’ve got 1,000 square foot, a little bit of room, and one coach–maybe ten people is a lot of people for you. So you can apply this stuff to where ever you’re at. Previously we talked about using timestamps, about some coaching strategies… All that stuff is doubly important here. But here are some things you can think about that might help you run a smooth class for whatever your situation is.
