Healthy Lifestyle 2020 | A Minimalist Approach To Taking Better Care of Your Body


This is going to be a quick video. A friendly reminder to take better care of
your body in the coming year, and also a message from us: Looking after your body is actually
pretty simple. As fitness and nutrition coaches, at some
point we’ve probably, inevitably overloaded a number of people with a little too much information. Blame that on inexperience. But the more we learn, the more we feel that
if there are any areas in life where adopting a minimalist thinking would be beneficial,
one of them ought to be how we take care of our bodies. Keep what is useful, and discard what is useless. Just eat well, move more and worry less. Eat well. Eat real food, as often as you can. Less of foods designed in laboratories, and
more of foods that nature has so kindly provided us with. Eat a variety of that. Yes, meat is real food, but don’t just feast
on meat, eat more plants. Have variety. Enjoy food unapologetically, but learn to
stop. Don’t let anyone else define what YOUR serving
size is supposed to be. Eat what you need, and not more than that. Move more. Moving more doesn’t just mean working out
more. Working out for an hour a day is fantastic,
but even then, there’s still another 23 hours left in the day to be sedentary. Don’t be sedentary. Move with more regularity. Get up a couple of times every hour at work,
stretch, take a walk. Move with more variety. Explore what your body can do. Find a new hobby, try a new sport. Don’t just think curiously, move curiously. Just as you need variety in what you eat,
you also need variety in your movement diet. Worry less. Don’t worry, be happy. But not only that; more specifically, block
out the noise. Don’t worry about the diet wars, food isn’t
scary; but if we believe everything on the internet, then there will be nothing left
that’s safe for us to consume. Remember, you just have to eat well. And don’t spend too much time painfully
deliberating between the different fashionable workout trends, it only leads to paralysis
by analysis. Remember, you just have to move more. The truth is, nobody knows of a magic formula,
or rather, there’s no such thing as a magic formula. So, why worry? And that is our minimalist approach to taking
better care of your body. As promised, this is just a quick video. Hopefully in 2020 and beyond, these six simple
words can remind you to take better care of your body: Eat well, move more, worry less.

    My takeaway is that it's better to apply these steps consistently and realistically than embarking in huge makeovers that we abandon in 3 or 4 weeks.

    I worry alot while researching for what is good and bad food/movement/sport and more. Then i get exhausted and dont do anything. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ I think i am treating my body well, cook alot and dont eat hardly any prosessed food. But then i think thats โ€žnormalโ€œ. Maybe i should be more proud of what i do and try to do, rather then focus on what i dont do. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

  8. I try to follow this principle as I find the trends people follow can be dangerous, or just not suitable for everyone. Sure I should move more but eating what I need rather than what a trend says leaves me satisfied.
