How To: Diamond Push-Up


What’s going on Nation? I’m gonna demonstrate for you how to do a diamond pushup now a diamond flip is a great exercise you can do at home or at the gym It’s gonna really work your chest But with what we’re gonna focus on this exercise is to also really work the tricep as well now what you do is put your hands into a diamond shape like this and I want you guys to make sure that when you come down your hands are coming to the center of your chest like that Okay, I don’t want you coming up here, want you coming just like this keeping those elbows in tight, let me demonstrate for you. Get down on your hands and knees okay like you would for a normal push-up Put your hands in diamond position keep your core nice and tight and straight like a plank elbows in and come down breathe in as you come down, and then breathe out as you push up just like this come down everything’s nice and tight push up Now the reason why I don’t you want you guys going too high with your hands If you sit back like this and you do the diamond push-up. It’s gonna put a lot of strain on your shoulders We’re not focusing on the shoulders. We’re focusing on the chest and tris, so keep those hands right underneath your chest Come down elbows in tight push straight up and that’s how you do a diamond push-up.
