How To Do A Standard Glute Stretch – Tangelo Health

Hey, Tangelinos. Welcome back. Sean here. We’re at our Seattle Green Lake location,
and let’s stretch the glute. So with the glute stretch, there’s many different
ways that you can go about doing this. But what I like is just simply laying on your
back, taking…in this case, I’m gonna stretch my right glute. So taking my right hand grabbing the outside
of my knee, taking my left hand grabbing the lower leg, rotating the hip. And then from there, drawing your shin down
towards your opposite shoulder until you feel a stretch in that glute. Now make sure that as you’re stretching, your
opposite leg is staying flush to the floor. What we don’t want is this happening, and
you’re just rotating that pelvis back. Keep that opposite leg flat on the ground,
rotate that hip, and then draw your shin to your opposite shoulder. Hold that for about 30 to 60 seconds, switch
sides when you’re ready. Have fun with it, be safe with it, and I’ll
