How To: Fitness Power PROTEIN Smoothie Recipe


hi everyone its Lunden your runtastic fitness coach and today I have for you a superpower protein smoothie recipe so to make this movie you’re going to need six ingredients and a blender for your base you’re going to need one cup of liquid I’m using unsweetened almond milk but you can use a nonfat milk coconut milk or even water you’re also going to need one cup of frozen mixed berries berries are really high in antioxidants and they give it a natural sweetness which helps match to the flavor of the spinach yes spinach we’re gonna add half of a cup of frozen spinach to the smoothie also but don’t worry you won’t be able to taste it because the berries will mask the flavor for our protein source I have one container of Greek yogurt it’s a low-fat variety and vanilla bean flavor one banana which is a great source of potassium and also helps with the thickness of the smoothie and then I also have one tablespoon of chia seeds chia seeds are super high and heart-healthy omega-3 s they’re great for your hair and your skin joint mobility and flexibility and they’re also known as the running food for all of you runners it gives you a very sustained energy throughout your run so here we go let’s combine it all in the blender I just like to break it off into little pieces it makes it easier to blend that way and then by using frozen fruit and spinach that eliminates the need for ice because this will help with the thickness of this movie awesome now this movie is excellent for those of you that don’t have time to make an extravagant breakfast in the morning or actually sit down and eat breakfast you can quickly make this smoothie and take it in a to-go cup in the car on your way to work this is also awesome for a post-workout smoothie for those of you that don’t know you need to get 20 to 30 grams of protein into your system post-workout within an hour after your workout that way you can properly refuel your muscles and build that awesome tone lean muscle we’re all looking for mmm it tastes delicious and I promise you you cannot taste this vintage at all so for those of you that don’t like to eat your vegetables and get your Popeye on this is a great way to jam pack it into a smoothie so there you have it your super power protein smoothie recipe and don’t forget try this at home and leave a comment and let me know what you think you

  2. Well done Lunden. I know quite similar recipe but don't you think that frozen fruit and spinach have already lost quite a bit of nutrition and vitamins? Wouldn't it be better to substitute for a fresh mango or any other available and cheaper fruit? ๐Ÿ™‚ and what do you think about adding some real already mixed protein powder to make it PROTEIN smoothie? thanks a lot and great work.. looking great btw ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. @Pavel Scepka Yes! Feel free to add fresh fruit and spinach if you would like. Frozen lasts longer & is less expensive. Did you know Greek yogurt is an excellent source of protein??   5. @ReniarRad thanks for the question. You can buy it in the stores here in US or I make my own with this special powerful blender. Don't worry about it too much, I just do it because I really enjoy the flavor and I have never been one to enjoy the taste of milk so I use it for my shakes and I can even drink it plain.   8. @Jaime Puedes hacer el batido sin yogur griego si eres intolerante a la lactosa. Algunos mercados de alimentos naturales tienen proteรญna en polvo a base de plantas (y leche deslactosada) que puedes utilizar tambiรฉn. Muy buena pregunta!

    Here's my edition of post workout protein shake
    Post-Workout-Shake

    1 mashed banana
    1 tablespoons amaranth
    1 tablespoons chia seeds
    1 raw well shacked egg

    It's sooooo delicious and is a real power drink. Try it and you will feel it!
