Police tape at crime scene

Lincoln police are looking for a man who followed a 92-year-old woman into her garage and stole her purse Tuesday, authorities said.

The incident occurred after 11 p.m. when the woman pulled into her garage on Blossom Lane, the Lincoln Police Department said in a news release.

As she exited her vehicle, a man walked into her garage, opened the passenger door and grabbed her purse and a bag of groceries. He didn’t say anything to the victim and then fled on foot, police said.

The suspect is described as an adult male, 30 to 40 years old and between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8. He was also wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and was last seen running northbound on Dogwood Loop.
