Multi Press Machine

My name is Chelsea Ross, and I’m a
personal trainer at the rec center. I’ll be demonstrating the Multi Press. So
to start out we’re going to demonstrate the chest press. So you’ll simply adjust
the bench so that it is laying flat. You’ll adjust the handles so that they are at
chest height. Then you’ll simply lay back on the machine, grab hold of the handles,
and push them straight up overhead. Next I’ll demonstrate the incline press.
So we’ll adjust the bench so that it’s at the incline press selection, we’ll
adjust the handles so that they are also at the incline press selection, and then
you’ll adjust your weight accordingly. Go ahead and take a seat, lean back, keep the
back nice and tall, grab hold of the handles again, and simply push straight up. Finally, I’ll demonstrate the shoulder
press. So again we’ll adjust the bench so that it’s at the shoulder press
selection, we’ll adjust the handles so they are also at the shoulder press selection, and
again we’ll adjust the weight accordingly. Again you’ll take a seat, sit
back, nice tall back, grab the handles, and push straight up.

  1. anybody know the ratio of these machines vs a barbell bench press? I'm new at the benchpress and so far, I can lift about 70kg 1rpm on the benchpress but my 1rpm on the multi-press machine is 95kg at full extension. So my bench is only 70% of my multi-press. Is this normal or too high/low?
