Open for Fitness: 2016

(music and cheering) We’re live from deep in the heart of Texas. Portland, Oregon. Canton, Massachusetts. Chi-town. Las Vegas, Nevada. And tonight, we unveil the first workout of a new season. Double-unders. Snatches. Thrusters. Chest-to-bar pull-ups. Cleans. Deadlifts. Muscle-ups. Hey, at least there’s no burpees? The Open starts now. 3, 2, 1 … go! It is on. The champ back in the lead. Thirty seconds to go. Fraser has it up. Five to go. Froning’s–Fraser cannot keep it! Emily Bridgers with the best score she’s ever put up in this event. Julie Foucher takes 15.3 in dominant fashion. Scott Panchik will take 15.4. Sam Briggs will win 15.5!

  1. I think it would be interesting for this years open to be all very well known benchmark workouts. Probably not a super short one, like Fran or Grace; Something that takes a little more time, like Jackie, Karen, Angie?
I wouldn't like to see a 5K row, but we could very well see a it, or maybe 20 minutes on the rower for max calories? It doesn't fit with what we've seen before, thats why I think it'd be cool. Or 20 minutes of 16.1 Rowing and then 7 minutes to find max Snatch for 16.1a…
    I love speculating!!!
