Scottsdale police have identified a man whose body was found Sunday in a canal near North Hayden and East Indian Bend roads.
Robert Youtz, 82, of Payson, was reported missing on April 18, police said. Police did not release details about who reported Youtz missing. a silver alert aired on april 21 says Youtz was last seen in Payson.
Salt River police found Youtz’s vehicle in the canal prior to the April 21 Silver Alert and reported the findings to surrounding agencies.
Passersby found Youtz’s body and reported it Sunday, police said. The cause of death remains under investigation as of Tuesday night.
