Workout Week: Crossfit


RESEARCH SHOWS THAT WORKING OUT WITH A FRIEND FORCES YOU TO WORK HARDER AND STAY COMMITTED TO YOUR REGIMEN. WE ARE A CROSSFIT IN PORTLAND TODAY FOR WORKOUT WEEK NUMBER TWO. I AM JOINED BY KYLE JONES. AND TYSON WEANES. THANKS SO MUCH FOR BEING HERE. WE ARE DOING WHAT CLASS? IT IS A CROSS THAT CLASS THAT CREATED TO BE USEFUL FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE HURT OR COMING BACK FROM A LO BREAK OR JUST LOOKING TO ADD A FEW THINGS TO THEIR NORMAL EXPERIENCE. TRACY: WHAT IS CROSFFIT?>>A COMBINATION OF SPORT , INCLUDING ROWING AND GYMNASTICS. I WILL GET SOME BANDS. NORMALLY, WE U VARIED FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENTS AT HIGH INTENSITY. BURPEES. SET OF FIVE. WE TEND TO USE A LOT OF LUNGING AND JUMPING. THOSE SORTS OF THINGS. WE WILL ALSO INCLUDE SOME WORK ON BALANCE, LATERAL MOVEMENTS. HAMSTRINGS, GLUTES. WE WILL THROW THAT IN THE MIX. MOVE IT FAST. EIGHT OF THEM, AND THEN BURPEES. TRAC DO YOU THINK WE WILL BE ABLE TO HANG? THE CLASS IS DESIGNED TO BE PRETTY INCLUSIVE. TRY TO KEEP YOUR FEET OFF THE FLOOR. KYLE: NOT AS EASY AS IT SEEMS. WE WILL SCALE IT IS APPROPRIATE. TRACY: I DO NOT KNOW ABOUT YOU, KYLE, BUT I WAS CHALLENGED, TO SAY THE LEAST. KYLE: IT WAS HARDER THAN I THOUGHT. BUT IT WAS A GOOD WORKOUT. TRACY: WORKOUT WEEK NUMBER TWO, DAVE — DAY ONE. KYLE AND I WORK SORE FOR SEVERAL DAYS.
